EXPERTISE
Mr. Bowman represents clients in complex construction litigation. He
has litigated many large construction cases involving bridges, commercial
projects, and residential developments. Mr. Bowman also counsels clients
in construction contract negotiations and drafting, and assists clients
with project administration, construction management, and claims avoidance.
Mr. Bowman also represents clients in real estate and land use litigation.
He has substantial experience handling disputes involving the development
approval process, land use regulation, road and easement cases, and
planning and zoning disputes. Mr. Bowman also has substantial experience
in handling complex eminent domain cases, having served as lead counsel
on over fifty large condemnation cases.
In addition to his construction and real estate litigation practice,
Mr. Bowman has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial litigation.
He has represented clients in complex business disputes for many years.
Mr. Bowman has represented clients in state and federal courts throughout
Idaho, and before the Idaho Supreme Court, the Idaho Court of Appeals,
and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior
to joining Holland & Hart, Mr. Bowman served as a law clerk to United
States District Court Judge Harold L. Ryan, Chief Judge of the District
of Idaho, where Mr. Bowman worked on a broad range of complex civil
litigation, environmental enforcement actions, class actions, securities
and shareholder derivative suits. Mr. Bowman is an Idaho native and
graduated magna cum laude from the University of Idaho College of Law
in 1991.
